Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Maqashid Syariah values in the workplace environment of the Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP) Banyuwangi and its relevance to strengthening work ethics, employee welfare, and professionalism. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and institutional document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, which includes data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the five dimensions of Maqashid Syariah hifzh ad-din (protection of religion), hifzh an-nafs (protection of life), hifzh al-‘aql (protection of intellect), hifzh an-nasl (protection of lineage), and hifzh al-mal (protection of wealth) has been reflected in various institutional activities at BPVP. Religious activities strengthen spiritual values (hifzh ad-din), workplace safety practices represent protection of life (hifzh an-nafs), continuous training supports intellectual development (hifzh al-‘aql), ethical and disciplinary regulations maintain moral integrity (hifzh an-nasl), and transparent financial management illustrates protection of assets (hifzh al-mal). Although these values have not yet been formally integrated into the institution’s managerial policies, the study confirms that Maqashid Syariah plays a vital role in shaping a work culture that is religious, safe, productive, and accountable. The findings imply the need for developing Maqashid Syariah-based management guidelines to strengthen institutional governance in Islamic vocational training environments.
