Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia melalui Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris bagi Dosen dan Tenaga Kependidikan

Abstract

The increasing demands of higher education internationalization require lecturers and educational staff to possess adequate English communication skills. However, many lecturers and educational personnel still experience limitations in using English for academic communication and administrative services. This community service activity aims to improve English competencies among lecturers and educational staff within the faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Halu Oleo environment. The activity was conducted through training sessions, interactive discussions, speaking practices, simulations, and mentoring using participatory approaches. The results indicated that the program positively improved participants’ understanding, confidence, and communication skills in using English for academic and workplace contexts. Participants demonstrated greater motivation and awareness regarding the importance of English proficiency in supporting academic services and faculty internationalization. Therefore, this activity is expected to support human resource development and strengthen institutional competitiveness in higher education.
