Yasin–Tahlil is a religious tradition deeply rooted in Indonesian Muslim communities, functioning not only as a spiritual ritual but also as a medium for social cohesion. However, social changes in modern residential areas often challenge the sustainability of collective religious practices due to declining participation and weakening social bonds. This community service article aims to examine the process and outcomes of mentoring the Yasin–Tahlil congregation through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach to strengthen religious solidarity in Perum Taman Mangunjiwan Indah, Demak. PAR was applied by positioning community members as active subjects throughout the cycles of participatory planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results indicate significant improvements in both quantitative and qualitative participation, strengthened organizational governance, and the development of more contextual and socially meaningful religious understanding. Yasin–Tahlil activities evolved from routine ritual practices into spaces for collective learning, internalization of social values, and reinforcement of social cohesion among residents.
