Writing scientific articles is an essential competency for students to enhance their academic capacity and publication productivity. However, many students continue to face challenges such as limited academic literacy skills, insufficient guidance, and low self-confidence in the process of writing scientific articles. This community engagement program aims to improve the publication productivity of Sociology students at FISIP UNDANA through a structured, collaborative, and output-oriented scientific writing mentoring scheme. The implementation methods include needs assessment, academic writing training, intensive coaching-clinic–based supervision, and peer review. The program involves supervising lecturers and reviewers with established experience in publishing articles in reputable journals to ensure adherence to academic standards. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ ability to produce scientific articles, demonstrated by enhanced structural quality, citation accuracy, and analytical rigor. In addition, eight articles were successfully prepared for submission to accredited national journals. These findings show that sustained mentoring is effective in cultivating a writing culture and promoting students’ publication productivity. The program is recommended for routine adoption as part of strengthening research capacity within FISIP UNDANA.
