Small and Medium Industrial Enterprises (SMIEs) play a strategic role in supporting regional economic growth, particularly through job creation and the strengthening of local economies. However, the low level of quality management implementation and limited product innovation remain major challenges faced by managers of SMIE Centers. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of managers of the Kendari City SMIE Center in implementing quality management and encouraging sustainable product innovation. The activity was carried out through a three- day training and workshop program using interactive lectures, group discussions, case studies, and role-playing approaches. The training materials covered quality management concepts, continuous improvement (Kaizen), the PDCA cycle, as well as innovation in product design, raw materials, and packaging. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of the importance of quality and innovation in enhancing the competitiveness of SMIEs. Participants were also able to develop simple action Plans as follow-up steps for implementing quality management and innovation at the SMIE Center. This activity is expected to serve as a model for community service programs based on strengthening the institutional capacity of SMIEs in a sustainable manner.
