The community engagement program “From Local Creations to Financial Success” was implemented to enhance financial literacy and promote economic independence among coastal communities in Wailulu Village, Central Maluku, which possess abundant marine resources that remain underutilized. This program aims to strengthen community capacity in identifying local flagship products, managing microenterprises effectively, and applying Islamic business ethics. A participatory collaborative approach was used, including Focus Group Discussions, training on Islamic financial management, hands-on production of processed bia (sea mollusks), as well as branding and marketing assistance. The results show significant improvements in participants’ ability to calculate production costs, set fair selling prices, maintain simple cash records, and develop a unique local product, Sambal Bia Wailulu. This product demonstrates not only economic potential but also cultural identity and collective empowerment among coastal households. Furthermore, the internalization of Islamic values such as shiddiq, amanah, and ‘adl encourages ethical and sustainable business practices.
